Kevin Smith Named COO of The Arysta LifeScience European Business

Former European Business Leader Moves into Global Marketing Role

PAU, FRANCE (November 24, 2008) -- Kevin Smith, a 26-year veteran in international business, has joined Arysta LifeScience Corporation as chief operating officer of the company’s European business unit, including the EU27 and East Europe. This appointment signifies the strong commitment of Arysta LifeScience to growing and expanding its position in the plant protection markets of the European Union and Eastern Europe.

Smith comes to Arysta LifeScience after serving as corporate vice president and group managing director, Europe, for Sun Chemical, the number one printing inks and organic pigments company in the global market. His experience also includes working for Cresap Telesis (Towers Perrin) as a strategy consultant to CEOs in Europe after beginning his career in sales and marketing roles with Perkins Engines (Massey Ferguson).

Prior to Smith’s appointment, Andy Jones served as the Arysta LifeScience COO of the European business unit. Jones has assumed the new role of global head of marketing in which he is working to ensure profitability from the company’s product portfolio and identifying new sources of growth for Arysta LifeScience.

Smith, who assumed his new position on Oct. 21, has a master’s degree in business administration from London Business School and a bachelor’s degree in French with a minor in Spanish from Leeds University.
