Arysta LifeScience North America Receives Label Expansion of Specialty Miticide

CARY, N.C., September 22, 2008 - Arysta LifeScience North America today announced the label expansion of Kanemite® 15 SC Miticide. The approval by the Environmental Protection Agency expanded the citrus label, offering growers protection beyond just oranges, grapefruits, and lemons. The Kanemite Miticide label now also protects tree nuts and grapes from Pacific, Willamette and twospotted spider mites.

“With the expansion of the Kanemite label, we’re able to offer excellent control of pest mites beyond the original labeled crops,” says Steve Miller, Product Manager Horticulture, Arysta LifeScience North America. “In addition, this new label adds much needed protection from European red mite, twospotted spider mite and other key mites to the citrus label, as well as Pacific spider mite to the pome fruit and strawberry labels.”

The fast knockdown of Kanemite and it’s unique mode of action make it the ideal choice to help manage mite resistance. The active ingredient, acequinocyl, has no known cross-resistance and delivers long-lasting control with minimal negative impact on beneficials and predator mites.
