William Lewis - Head of Global Business Initiatives
Bill Lewis is head of global business initiatives of Arysta LifeScience Corporation, with accountability for managing strategic development projects for the CEO and the board of directors. He also provides commercial leadership to the company’s global merger and acquisition efforts.
Lewis previously served five years as business unit head of Arysta LifeScience North America, LLC, where he doubled the size of the business and led the team through the rigorous review and groundbreaking U.S. registration of MIDAS® soil fumigant, among other initiatives. Lewis also serves or has served on numerous agricultural industry boards, including CropLife America and RISE.
Before joining Arysta LifeScience, Lewis worked for Syngenta Crop Protection, where he was vice president of professional products and regional business for NAFTA. At Syngenta, he was responsible for the P&L of five non-agricultural businesses in the U.S. and the agricultural and non-agricultural businesses in Canada and Mexico.
Prior to the formation of Syngenta, Lewis led the Zeneca Horticulture Business in the United States and Canada. During the merger of Zeneca and Novartis, he co-led the integration of the two North American companies’ commercial and functional operations. Lewis also held a number of international roles in Europe during the mid-1990s including general manager in the UK and Ireland where he developed and implemented a new market strategy for the introduction of Zeneca’s new strobulrin chemistry.
Lewis received a bachelor’s degree in entomology from Clemson University with a minor in business administration.
